Bruno Alves’ agent hints at Sporting Lisbon loan move
The 33-year-old defender had been linked with a move away from Turkey after falling out with head coach Ismail Kartal following the Intercontinental derby defeat against Galatasaray.
Alves was sent off for a reckless challenge and forced to train with reserves for a few weeks after the incident.
Kartal and Alves have since resolved their issues and the experienced defender has returned to the first team.
Fenerbahçe also recently released a statement denying that Alves would be leaving in January despite being closely linked with a move abroad.
The statement read: “The rumours linking Bruno Alves with a transfer abroad are false. Bruno has a contract with Fenerbahçe football club and wants to remain at the club.”
The experienced defender currently earns €2.3 million per season and has two-years left on his contract.
