Arsenal could face competition from the Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Barcelona’s out-of-favour midfielder Arda Turan.
The Sun newspaper states that both Dortmund and Fenerbahce are also interested in the Turkish international. The report goes onto state that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is eyeing a summer swoop for Turan.
The Spanish paper Marca state that Barcelona are prepared to take a £12 million loss on the 29-year-old just one season after signing him.
Turan joined Barcelona on a £29 million move last summer from Atletico Madrid and does have another four-years remaining on his contract.
The former Galatasaray star has won every domestic title in Spain and Turkey as well as all European competitions trophies except the Champions League although he did reach the final with Atletico Madrid.
turan missed the first half of the season due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club but he did make 25 appearances since the turn of the year.
