Gokhan Tore joins Arsenal & Liverpool stars in Premier League

Gokhan Tore will become the fourth Germany born ethnic Turk to play in the Premier League next season following his move to West Ham.

Tore will join Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil and Manchester City summer signing Ilkay Gundogan.

The 24-year-old midfielder is the only Turkish international among the four Germany born Turks with the other three representing the Mannschaft.

Tore would have been the fifth Germany born Turk in the Premier League had Samed Yesil not been released by Liverpool.

The Turkish community of Germany is the largest non-German ethnic group in the country with an estimated population of 3-4 million.

Tore was born in Cologne, Germany where he grew up before moving to Chelsea as a youth player in 2009.

HSV signed Tore in 2011 and he enjoyed a brief stint in Russia before joining Turkish giants Besiktas in 2012.

Tore established himself as one of the most highly sought after players in the league under the stewardship of Slaven Bilic who coached the Black Eagles for two seasons before taking over West Ham.

The explosive winger has returned to London on a one-year loan with a £10 million release clause option than will remain active until the end of the season.
