Liverpool have accepted a €3 million bid for midfielder Lucas Leiva according to the Aksam newspaper.
Per the source, the Reds have accepted the Lions offer however, the Istanbul giants are still in talks with the player.
The Istanbul giants are reported to have offered the Brazilian midfielder €2.5 million per-season and talks have reached an advanced stage however, a deal has yet to be reached.
The report does claim that there is an agreement in principle in place but talks over wages are ongoing.
Lucas is currently out injured after picking up a hamstring strain during pre-season training.
The Liverpool Echo report that the experienced midfielder will be sidelined for a month after undergoing tests that revealed the severity of his injury.
Lucas will be able to leave if he agrees terms with Galatasaray but Istanbul rivals Besiktas could also enter the race.
The Black Eagles are also in pursuit of a central midfielder and would be able to offer Champions League football next season.
