Liverpool star returns to pre-season training

Liverpool’s star midfielder Emre Can has returned to pre-season training with Liverpool ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

Can joined up with his team-mates squad as they went through a morning workout at the iconic Rose Bowl stadium.

The 22-year-old has been on extended leave after participating in Euro 2016 with the Germany national team. Can played just one game in the competition in the semi-finals against the hosts France. Unfortunately for the former Bayer Leverkusen star, Germany suffered a 2-0 loss and were eliminated from the tournament.

Can has not played for the Reds since the Euro 2016 campaign and has been in holiday in Turkey to meet his family and on the West Coast of the US partying with the likes of Mesut Ozil.

Liverpool were defeated by Chelsea in the International Champions Cup in the Rose Bowl earlier this week.

The Germany international is now one of four players born in Germany of Turkish origin in the Premier League with the others being Man City star Ilkay Gundogan, Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil and West Ham winger Gokhan Tore.
