Manchester United will keep tabs on Galatasaray star Bruma over the course of the season after his performance against the Red Devils on Saturday.

Bruma found the back of the net against United scoring his sixth goal in his fifth pre-season game over the summer.

United boss Jose Mourinho held a meeting with the 21-year-old after the game praising his display.

Bruma told reporters in the mixed zone after the game that the Portuguese manager asked to speak to him.

“Mourinho told me he was impressed with my performance and that if I continue I will get back into the Portugal national team,” Bruma was quoted as saying by Turkish-football.com.

“Of course it was amazing to hear this from Mourinho and he said he will keep an eye on how I do this season.”

Futbol Arena report that Galatasaray value Bruma as being worth €15 million and despite being linked with a move to PSV the Istanbul giants want to keep hold of the Portuguese youngster over the summer.

Galatasaray signed Bruma on a €10 million move from Sporting Lisbon in 2013 and he still has three years left on his contract.

United were linked with Bruma before he joined Galatasaray but he joined the Turkish giants in pursuit of regular first team football.

Bruma’s agent Marko Kırdemir revealed that Everton also made an offer back in 2014 and that the player wants to player Premier League football in the future.

“Everton were very keen on signing Bruma, however, Ünal Aysal was not prepared to loan him out. The president made it clear that he would only consider bids for a permanent deal,” Kırdemir said.

“I can see Bruma playing in the Premier League in the future.”

Bruma struggled to settle in under the stewardship of former Lions manager Cesare Prandelli and was loaned out to Real Sociedad last season.

The Portuguese international is expected to play a key role in recently appointed Galatasaray coach Jan Olde Riekerink’s side this season.
