Tottenham are understood to be weighing up  a move for the Mainz midfielder Yunus Malli.

According to the Daily Star, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to sign the 24-year-old this summer.

However, the report goes onto state that Pochettino may regret his decision not to launch his bid before the end of July. A clause included in Malli’s contract with Mainz meant he was available for just £7.5m until July 31.

Meanwhile the Turkish football outlet Fotospor claims that Fenerbahce are also interested in Malli. The Istanbul giants are on the hunt for a new attacking midfielder after offloading Diego over the summer.

Mali was included in Turkey’s squad which competed at Euro 2016 this summer in France but hardly featured for Fatih Terim’s side. The 22-year-old netter 11 goals and provided five assist in 36 appearances for Maniz last season.
