Arsenal will be without Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny for the Gunners first game of the Premier League season.
The North London based side take on Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium next weekend. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirmed that the trio will miss the encounter after they were given extended breaks after Euro 2018.
Ozil, Giroud and Koscielny are yet to begin pre-season training and are set to kick off preparations
“The Liverpool game will come too early for them.” Wenger told the Mirror.
Wenger faces a selection crises going into the competition following injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel.
Theo Walcott is expected to start up-front for Arsenal while Jack Wilshere is set to recover from a knee injury.
Ozil provided 19 assists for Arsenal last season and was just one assist away from equalling Thierry Henry’s record of 20 assists in a single season.
