Arsenal take on Manchester City at the Ullevi stadium on Sunday in the second friendly game of their pre-season Scandinavia tour.
City will be hoping for a similar realist their cross city rivals Manchester United had at the same stadium last Saturday after beating Galatasaray 5-2.
The Gunners will be without star playmaker Mesut Ozil as well as striker Olivier Giroud and defender Koscielny due to all three being on extended leave following a gruelling Euro 2016 campaign.
City meanwhile will be without summer signing Ilkay Gundogan. The Germany international of Turkish origin faces a race against time to recover from injury in time of the start of the league campaign.
The Citizens will however, have the likes of De Bruyne, Nolito and Aguero available.
It will be an interesting game for Gael Clichy who is in the City squad as he played under the stewardship of Arsene Wenger for eight years.
“I’ve trained only a few weeks with Guardiola and I was eight years with Wenger,” Clichy was quoted as saying in his press conference before the game.
“There are a lot of similarities between the two, but also so much difference.
“In eight or nine years, Guardiola has won pretty much everything and he’s changed the way we see football. He was probably one of the first to bring the full-backs really high, to put a midfield player as a centre-back.”
