Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu has confirmed making an offer for Manchester City defender Jason Denayer.
Nazifoglu underlined that Galatasaray want Denayer back at the club after a successful loan spell last season.
“Denayer settled in well last season and we want him back but it all now depends on what he says and what Manchester City decide,” he said.
“We want him and so does the manager and City know this.”
Denayer is expected to leave over the summer transfer window following the transfer of John Stones from Everton after falling further down the pecking order.
The Manchester Evening News report that Denayer is open to leaving City in pursuit of first team football.
Denayer was part of the squad that travelled to Sweden for the pre-season friendly against Arsenal but he did not feature despite Vincent Kompany, Nicolas Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala all out.
Per the source, Tosin Adarabioyo, 18 has now moved ahead of Denayer in the pecking order.
Galatasaray could however, face competitions from Arsenal according to The Sun,.
The report claims that he could be available for a £12 million fee and the Gunners are in the market for a defensive transfer after suffering an injury crisis at the back.
