Galatasaray could face competition from the Premier League giants Arsenal in the race to sign Manchester City’s defender Jason Denayer.
According to The Sun, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is preparing a move for Denayer to ease the defensive crisis at his club. The Gunners boss has just two fit defenders going into the opening game of the season, one of which is 20-year-old Rob Holding.
Meanwhile, AMK report that Denayer wants to return to Galatasaray on loan following the transfer of John Stones. The 21-year-old has been told that he will play a minor role if he remains at City this term.
Galatasaray have been busy this summer after signing Eren Derdiyok, Tolga Cigerci, Serdar Aziz and Cavanda.
Denayer spent last season on loan at Galatasaray where he provided three assists in 28 appearances for the Lion’s in all competitions.
