Liverpool have turned down a bid from Crystal Palace for their Belgium international striker Christian Benteke.
According to ESPN ,the Reds have turned down Palace’s second bid for Benteke. The Eagles tabled a £23 million offer last week as Liverpool are determined to recoup the £32 million they signed him for from Aston Villa.
Palace have now had a second bid turned down but may not be after the race following an injection of cash following the £25 million sale of Yannick Bolasie to Everton on Monday. According to The Times, Palace are readying a new bid following the sale of Yannick Bolasie to Everton.
Meanwhile, Besiktas vice-president Ahmet Nur Cebi has confirmed that the club want Benteke on loan.
“Benteke is a player we are interested, we are pushing for him and would want him to be transferred to the club.” Cebi revealed to Turkish-Football.
Liverpool want to sell Benteke and head coach Jurgen Klopp has made it clear he has no plans for him next season after dropping him from the team that beat Arsenal 4-3.
