Besiktas star Oguzhan Ozyakup has revealed that he wants to return to England but that he is also currently happy at the Super Lig champions.
Speaking to Lig Tv in his most recent interview the Turkish international said that he does want to play abroad one day and that his goal is to return to England where he first made a name for himself.
“I have never made any secret of wanting to play in England or Europe but I am focused on the Champions League right now and defending the league title,” Ozyakup was quoted as saying.
Manchester United are reported to be keeping close tabs on Ozyakup according to the Daily Star. The report are willing to offer £20 million for his services after scouting the midfielder over the past 12 months.
Arsenal have also been closely linked with their former youth player and hold a 25 percent future sell on clause fee.
Ozyakup is however, expected to stay at the Istanbul giants for another 12 months but could be off to United next season.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman did not too long ago state that if Ozyakup were to leave he would not mind it being to United.
“When Ozyakup leaves Besiktas it will be for Manchester United, Barcelona or Real Madrid. A club of that calibre,” Orman was quoted as saying by Turkish-football.com.
Ozyakup has established himself as a key player at Besiktas since joining from Arsenal in 2012. The 23-year-old scored 10 times and provided eights assists for the league champions last season.
