Manchester United are reported to have offered Marouane Fellaini a two-year contract extension deal according to the Sun on the condition that he continues to impress.
Fellaini was closely linked with a United exit throughout the pre-season period and he has a frosty relationship with the fans.
The 27-year-old has two-years left on his current £110,000-a-week deal, and despite enjoying a mixed reception from the fans head coach Jose Mourinho is fond of him.
The Belgium international started for Manchester United against Southampton at Old Trafford on Friday.
Fellaini has been linked with a move to Galatasaray by the Express over the past week however, Mourinho gave Fellaini his second consecutive start and it now seems that the powerful midfielder does have a future in the team.
Galatasaray were previously linked with Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva however, the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp put an end to the move following an injury crisis at Anfield.
Fellaini provided five assists and seven goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for United last season.
