Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu has confirmed his sides interest in Manchester City’s Belgium international defender Jason Denayer.
Denayer is no stranger to the Turkish league after establishing himself as a first team favourite at Galatasaray last season. The pacy defender’s future at City has been cast in doubt after being left out of Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Nazifoglu told Turkish-Football, “I do not think we have an abundance in defence.
“If we can agree with Manchester City [for Jason Denayer] then we can say that.”
The Turkish outlet Ahaber also report that Galatasaray boss Jan olde Riekerink is also keen to add Denayer to the squad this summer.
According to The Sun, Arsenal are also in the race to sign Denayer this summer. The Gunners are currently facing a defensive crisis following injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel.
Per-the-source, City are demanding £12 million for the Belgium international defender. Despite joining Manchester City from JMG Lier back in 2013, Denayer currently has no Premier League.
