Chelsea’s out-of-favour midfielder Marco van Ginkel has been linked with move to Fenerbahce.
A source close to the club has revealed to Turkish-football that Fenerbahce’s newly appointed manager Dick Advocaat has instructed the club to sign Van Ginkel from Chelsea.
The Yellow Canaries are on the lookout for a new attacking midfielder after offloading Diego Ribas earlier this summer.
If Van Ginkel joins Fenerbahce he will become the third Dutch player to join the Yellow Canaries after Robin van Persie and Gregory van der Wiel.
The 23-year-old midfielder joined Chelsea from the Eredivisie side Vitesse back in 2013.
However, Van Ginkel has failed to break into the first team since making the move to Stamford Bridge. Van Ginkel spent the 2014-15 season on loan at AC Milan and joined Stoke City on loan last season however, the deal was canceled after the Potters signed Gianelli Imbula.
The Netherlands international ended up spending the rest of last season out on loan at PSV.
Fenerbahce take on Grasshoppers in the Europa league qualification stage tomorrow evening.
