Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that contract talks with both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are set to begin, according to the Mirror.
The 27-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal with the Gunners but Wenger is keen to prolong his stay.
“Ozil and Sanchez, we will start to talk for their extensions,” Wenger was quoted as saying by the Mirror ahead of Arsenal’s trip to PSG on Tuesday.
Ozil made the move to the north London based club for a club record £42.5 million from Real Madrid back in 2013. The 27-year-old has been a success since making the move and racked up 19 assists last season in the Premier League. Ozil was just one assist off matching the all time record of 20 set by Thierry Henry.
The Germany international has also won two FA Cup trophies’ since joining form the La Liga giants.
Ozil is once again expected to start for Arsenal when they take on the Hull City in the Premier League this weekend.
