We preview Saturday’s games from the Super Lig and games from leagues across Europe involving Turkish players – or players of Turkish origin.
Check out our betting tips and previews below:
Hull City v Arsenal
Arsenal have not been playing particularly inspiring football but they have been grinding out results. The Gunners have a great record against Hull City having won five of their last six away trips to Drayton Park. The North London based outfit have Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez available and are almost at full strength in attack following the return of Walcott and Olivier Giroud.
Prediction: Arsenal Win
Dortmund v Darmstadt
Both sides are facing a bit of an injury crisis but the only difference is Dortmund have enough depth to cope. The Bundesliga giants went on the rampage in the Champions League putting six past Legia Warsaw mid-week and will be hoping to rack up a few more goals against Darmstadt – even Mor if Emre starts.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals
Eintracht Frankfurt v Bayer Leverkusen
Not a lot has changed at Bayer Leverkusen. Roger Schmidt’s side are still breathtaking going forwards and can at times be abysmal in defence. Frankfurt could struggle to keep a clean sheet against Bayer but will not have much trouble scoring themselves if their opponents defend anything like they have been recently.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals
Alanyaspor v Trabzonspor
Alanyaspor have got off to a decent start to the season and actually have a pretty strong side for a newly promoted team. Trabzonspor are in rotten form having lost their last two consecutive league games. The Black Sea Storm have a team that could in theory anyway compete with the big boys and a manager in Ersan Yanal who has won the championship but they have just not clicked yet. The odds on Alanyaspor are long. They are only being priced as heavy underdogs based on being a newly promoted side but deserve more respect than they are getting.
Prediction: Alanyaspor +0.5 (Asian Handicap / Draw + Win)
Galatasaray v Rizespor
Galatasaray are starting to gel under Jan Olde Riekerink and it is clear that the Lions are morphing towards a more physical, direct team under the Dutch head coach. Rizespor are really going to struggle with the raw power of this Galatasaray side and it is never easy playing in the Turk Telekom Arena.
Prediction: Galatasaray Win
