Barcelona suffered a shock 4-3 defeat against Celta Vigo in the La Liga on Sunday. Coincidently the previous side to put four past Barca was also Celta last season.

The La Liga champions were without Lionel Messi and Rafinha filled in for him up front with Arda Turan replacing Andres Iniesta going into the game.

We took a look at how Barcelona fans reacted to Turan’s display on social media following the surprise defeat.

Turan was praised yet again but it did not have any impression on Turkey national team head coach Fatih Terim who decided to drop the experienced winger from his squad yet again.

Turan was played out of position but then again what is his position? Enrique has played him in every midfield role but he has been most productive in a more attacking role.

Enrique was criticised for his squad choice. Turan had been thriving in a more attacking role and could have filled in for Messi as he had successfully done for Neymar during his time on international duty for Brazil. Instead Rafinha started upfront and let’s just say it did not really work out.

Despite losing Turan put on a praiseworthy display as he has done all season for Barca.

Tea time! Or Çay time as Turan would call it.
