On-loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo started for Alanyaspor against Fenerbahce at the Sukru Saracoglu. The newly promoted side held the Yellow Canaries to a 1-1 draw with the Nigerian international putting on an impressive display.
Omeruo was selected alongside Abdoulaye Ba to start in defence and he made a total of three tackles, five interceptions and seven clearances. The 22-year-old also passed to ball out of defence well making 44 passes at an 84 percent accuracy according to Opta.
Alanyaspor had shipped in eight goals in their last two league games going into the Fenerbahce clash but managed to up their game against the Istanbul giants.
Omeruo has managed to help his side prevent defeat against two of the leagues biggest clubs in Trabzonspor – recording a 3-0 victory – and Fenerbahce.
A source close to Alanyaspor revealed to Turkish-Football.com that Chelsea sent scouts to keep tabs on Omeruo’s display in arguably his toughest game of the season thus far.
Omeruo has established himself as a first-team regular at Alanyaspor and has now made five league appearances.
