Barcelona star Andres Iniesta has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks with collateral ligament damage according to the official UEFA website.
The absence of the 32-year-old will be a major loss to Barcelona who are already deprived of injured defender Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba.
Turkish international star Arda Turan wished his team-mate – who he refers to as his ‘idol’ and the the ‘great captain’ – a speedy recovery and shared a picture of the Spanish international alongside a lengthy message.
Turan was himself ruled out of the 3-2 win over Valencia due to a bruised elbow but he is expected to return in time for the next set of games.
