Arsenal crushed Sunderland 4-1 at the Stadium of Light on Saturday thanks to a brace from Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud.
The Gunners are currently second in the league on goal difference. Leaders Manchester City are first by virtue of having scored one more goal and conceded one less than the North London outfit.
Germany international of Turkish origin Mesut Ozil started the game and rediscovered his assist providing boots when he setup Olivier Giroud with the third goal of the game on 76 minutes.
Ozil did not add to his goal tally which currently stands at six in all competitions but he did put on an impressive display creating three goal scoring chances.
We took a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to Ozil’s display on social media.
Ozil and Sanchez’s stats do make pleasant reading for Arsenal fans this season but will it be enough to win the league title?
Both Ozil and Sanchez are playing at levels higher than they have ever produced. Stats back it up. Peaking.

Thoughts?
Ozil > KDB > Coutinho > Payet
Any other opinion is wrong

And here are some more Ozil/Payet/Coutinho comparisons to get your head around.

Add Devin De Bruyne, Aguero – even though he plays a different position – and Eden Hazard to that list.

Ozil was the assist king last season but he’ll need to catch Liverpool star Coutinho if he wants to keep his throne.
Philippe Coutinho now has more Premier League assists (6) in 2016 than Eden Hazard and Mesut Ozil combined (5). pic.twitter.com/3HvX2tVKPA

Well that’s not going to go down well with West Ham fans!
Imagine putting Payet in the same category as Coutinho/KDB/Ozil. Man was selling shrimp when those 3 were already playing at the top level.

Was Ozil harshly treated when he joined Arsenal?
Ibrahimovic cost United in the region of 40+ mil & hasn't scored in 10 games, yet he doesn't receive the same treatment that Ozil did…
