Mesut Ozil thanks ‘Arsenal Legend’ Thierry Henry
[divider]Mesut Özil has taken to twitter to praise the former Arsenal player Thierry Henry upon news of his retirement.
Henry announced his retirement from football after a trophy-laden 20-year career.
Arsenal’s all-time leading goalscorer, left New York Red Bulls this month and has decided to hang up his beets.
“It has been an incredible journey,” said the 37-year-old.
Özil posted a tweet along with the caption, “Once you enchanted all of us – now I can only say: Thanks for everything! @ThierryHenry #ArsenalLegend”
Henry scored 175 goals for Arsenal in the Premier League.
Özil has not featured for the Gunner since damaging his knee ligaments during a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in October.
The Arsenal playmaker has made two assists and scored one goal in nine appearances for the Noth-London based club this season.
