Mesut Ozil praises Arsenal’s ‘perfect evening’ [divider]
Mesut Özil praised his Arsenal teammates following their 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League Group D.
The win secured Arsenal a place in the Last 16 of the competition for the 15th consecutive season.
Özil wished Danny Welbeck a happy birthday before the game.
However, Yaya Sanogo got the nod ahead of Welbeck who was unable to start after picking up an injury.
Özil took to social media again following the Gunners win over the Bundesliga outfit.
The Arsenal star will also miss his sides last group game against Galatasaray in Istanbul however, Özil is expected to return in time for the second round.
Özil has been ruled out with injury until the new year.
The 26-year-old joined Arsenal last year for a club record fee of £42.5m and won the FA Cup in his first season.
