Balıkesirspor have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Isaac Promise according to club president Tuna Aktürk.

“If Isaac Promise passes his medical he will join us until the end of the season, I hope it works out for us all,” Aktürk was quoted as saying on Eurosport TR.

The former Nigeria U23 captain left Antalyaspor in 2014 to sign for Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli.

The 27-year-old has represented Nigeria at U-20 and U-23 international level but is still awaiting his full international cap with the Super Eagles.

Promise has years of experience playing Süper Lig football in Turkey, playing for Gençlerbirligi, Trabzonspor, Manisaspor and Antalyaspor in the past.

The experienced striker scored 13 goals for his last Süper Lig outfit Antalyaspor in 58 appearances but left following the Scorpions relegation from the top-flight.

Balıkesirspor are currently last in the Süper Lig with 13 points from 18 games this season.

The newly promoted side have conceded the most goals in the league – 36.
