Nordin Amrabat – ‘I heard my muscle tear’ [divider]
Galatasaray player Nordin Amrabat described the moment his muscle tore in Morocco’s 6-1 win over Benin.
“I was running, made a pass and was slowing down when I heard a terrible noise,” Amrabat said.
“I heard the muscle rip and knew something bad had happened.
“I was in so much pain, I felt it hit my brain and it continued for a while after.
“I have never experienced anything that bad before, at PSV I had an injury but this really was horrible.”
Amrabat is facing up to a month on the sidelines after suffering a muscle tear.
The Moroccan international joined Galatasaray from Kayserispor in July 2012 for €8.6 million and still has three-years remaining on his contract.
Amrabat is currently on loan with La Liga outfit Malaga.
The 27-year-old winger has three assists and three goals in his last five league games and was named in Marca’s October La Liga Team of the Month.
