“AC Milan made me an offer but I made a promise to Trabzonspor to didn’t accept,” Halilhodzic said.
Halilhodzic also said he is not surprised about Trabzonspor’s decision to part ways with him and that a manager always has to be prepared for clubs acting irrationally.
“It is the nature of the job, a manager always has his suitcase ready,” Halilhodzic said.
“The board were not pleased with the results but we were on the verge of securing a place in the Europa League Round of 32 and only four points off a top four place.
“We left on good terms and had a farewell meal together.”
Halilhodzic’s second spell at Trabzonspor lasted a total of 116 days. The former Algeria national team coach won four, drew eight and lost two of the 14 games he managed
