Isaksson: The Swedish international made a few important saves to keep a clean sheet in Kasımpaşa’s 3-0 win away to Gaziantepspor.

Alex Telles: The Brazilian fullback provided an assist in the 2-2 draw against Sivasspor but also kept on top of defensive duties pulling off an impressive five interceptions.

Omeruo: The on-loan Chelsea defender put in a solid debut performance for Kasımpaşa contributing towards his side recording a clean sheet in the 3-0 victory over Gaziantepspor.

Hasan Ali Kaldırım: Kaldırım did an impressive job filling in for Caner Erkin at left-back for Fenerbahçe against Eskişehirspor. The Turkish international provided an assist in the 2-0 win and put in a stellar defensive performance making three tackles and three interceptions.

Lukas Podolski: The former Arsenal man scored on the opening weekend of a season for the second time in his career against Sivasspor. The debut scoring World Cup winner looks likely to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup for Galatasaray.

Diego: The Brazilian playmaker is starting to finally live up to his reputation at Fenerbahçe. Diego completed five key passes one of which ended in an assist and more dribbles than any other teammate. The experienced midfielder was Man of the Match according to Whoscored with a rating of 8.6.

Josef De Souza: The Brazil international made an impressive debut performance for Fenerbahçe in the 2-0 win against Eskişehirspor. The assiduous midfielder made a whopping 10 tackles – more than double what any other player in the game managed. Josef’s passing was slick and he closed down the opposition tirelessly throughout the game. If he keeps this out Josef may just end up being as popular as the other De Souza that is adored by Fenerbahçe fans.

Oğuzhan Özyakup: The former Arsenal youth completed 44 passes with an 86 percent accuracy and made a total of six key passes in the 74 minutes he played against Mersin. Özyakup scored a 9.10 rating for his performance according to Whoscored. We almost forgot to mention… he also provided three superb assists in what was a scintillating performance from the 22-year-old.

Samuel Eto’o: Form is temporary but class is permanent. The former Barcelona man scored two goals of the highest order in his debut against Başakşehir helping his side record a 3-2 victory.

Cenk Tosun: The Turkish international striker’s performance may have got Mario Gomez wondering whether he will even be able to make the starting lineup. Tosun Pasha as he is known by the fans scored the only hat-trick of the first round of games and probably a starting spot in the team next week.
