Barcelona winger Arda Turan has described Beşiktaş midfielder Oğuzhan Özyakup as being a top-quality player.
The bearded winger heaped praise on his Turkish international teammate in a recent appearance on Turkish Super League broadcaster Lig Tv.
Turan did however, give Özyakup a few recommendations of what he must do to become even better.
“Özyakup is a top quality player he is so gifted but as I have told him he must become more aggressive,” Turan told Lig Tv.
“He has to press harder, become more physical and close down more.”
Özyakup struggled to lock down a regular spot in the starting line-up last season under current West Ham boss Slaven Bilic.
The 22-year-old has however, hit the ground running under recently appointed manager Şenol Güneş.
Özyakup has started every game this season and already has three assists as well as a goal to his name.
The young midfielder was an Arsenal youth player and made a few cup appearances for the senior team before joining Beşiktaş in 2012 for a fee of €500,000.
The 22-year-old was born in Holland and captained the Dutch side to the final of the 2009 Under-17 European Championships before switching allegiances to the Turkish national team.
