Özil has been ‘absolutely fantastic’ says Theo Walcott [divider]
Arsenal forward Theo Walcott praised Mesut Özil for his performance in the 5-0 win against Aston Villa.
Walcott also underlined how hard Özil and himself have been working to recover from injury.

“Mesut has worked tremendously hard since coming back from injury, like myself. He showed it on the pitch today,” Walcott was quoted as saying by ESPN.
“It’s not going to happen overnight [for me], but to be honest it has for him.”
Walcott also revealed that he thought Özil’s finishing and technique was fantastic against Aston Villa.
“In two games from coming back he’s scored two goals and it’s not just that, it’s his whole general play in terms of interchange with players and putting balls in behind. His touch is absolutely fantastic and it was a fantastic finish,” he added.
Özil started his first game for the Gunners since recovering from injury in the win against Aston Villa on the weekend.
The record £42.5 million Arsenal signing scored and provided an assist. Özil was also selected as Man of the Match for his impressive performance.
The win took Arsenal into 5th place in the Premier League on 42 points after 23 matches.
Özil is expected to start again against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the North London derby next week.
