Scotland meanwhile are one point behind third placed Republic of Ireland and three off from second-placed Poland with three games remaining.
The Scottish side have not reached a major tournament in 18 years and will be in for a tough test against the World Cup champions.
Scotland last beat theGermans came in 1999, with a 1-0 victory in Bremen.
Liverpool youngster Emre Can is expected to earn his second international cap for Germany while Arsenal star Mesut Özil is also expected to start.
The Germany sides other player of Turkish origin Borussia Dortmund midfielder İlkay Gündoğan is likely to be on the bench.
