Arsenal keeper approached by European giants

Fenerbahce have made an approach for Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina according to the Sun.

Per the source, the Yellow Canaries are keen on a move but Arsenal will not let him leave over in January as they do not have a back up, however, an end of season move could happen.

Fenerbahce have yet to renew their deal with current first choice keeper Volkan Demirel and Fabiano will return to Porto once his loan deal runs out over the summer.

Ospina is currently the Gunners No 1 in the Champions League but has struggled for playing time in the Premier League falling behind the pecking order to Petr Cech.

The 28-year-old has been perennially linked with a move away from Arsenal in pursuit of regular playing time but head coach Arsene Wenger has managed to convince him to stay at the club.

Ospina has been closely targeted by the major Istanbul clubs over the past few transfer windows on both loan and permanent deals but none have been able to secure a move.

The Colombian international has made six starts in the Champions League this season conceding a total of six goals and keeping two clean sheets.

The experienced keeper has 69 international caps and has another two-years remaining on his current deal.
