Manchester United outcast Memphis Depay has been told by Netherlands head coach Danny Blind to leave the club according to the Daily Mail.
Per the source, Blind advised Depay to consider his options as he is not a core part of the United squad.
Fenerbahce are among the several clubs interested in signing the 24-year-old winger.
The Yellow Canaries have been keeping tabs on Depay and Dick Advocaat is keen on bringing him in on loan a source close to the club told Turkish-football.
Advocaat gave Depay his debut back when he was in charge of PSV Eindhoven and has kept a close relationship with the player ever since.
Turkish sports newspaper Fotomac meanwhile put a spin on Depay’s latest shisha smoking scandal.
The newspaper reported that Depay was smoking at a shisha lounge run by a Turkish businessman in Rotterdam and that he was asked if he would play in Fenerbahce to which he is claimed to have replied ‘god willing’.
United signed Depay for £25 million under the stewardship of Louis van Gaal but he has not featured for current head coach Jose Mourinho since November 24, coming on as an 82nd minute substitute against Feyenoord in the Europa League.
