Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer has attracted widespread interest from across Europe following an impressive first half of the season.
The Denmark international has been scouted by Chelsea a source close to Fenerbahce revealed to Turkish-football and AC Milan have also been keeping tabs.
The club have slapped a €25 million price-tag on Kjaer amid the growing interest but are intent on keeping him on at the club until the end of the season.
The Istanbul giants are reluctant to sell Kjaer in January even if his valuation is met however, the club would be forced to consider a bid matching their price-tag.
Kjaer joined Fenerbahce from Ligue 1 outfit Lille last summer and has established himself as a key member of the team.
The 27-year-old still has another three-years remaining on his current deal and has settled in to life in Turkey with his family.
Kjaer was recently named in the UEFA Europa League team of the group stages following an impressive campaign which saw him score twice in Group A – finishing above Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Denmark international has experience playing in the Serie A for Roma and Palermo, the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg and Ligue 1 for Lille.
In other Chelsea transfer news Ligue 1 outfit Lille are reported to be interested in bringing in Michy Batshuayi on loan according to the Guardian.
