Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal has been targeted by Galatasaray according to Sport, who claim that the Lions want the 24-year-old on a loan until the end of the season.
The future of Vidal at the club remains in doubt after he was left out of the match day squad heading into the Copa Del Rey clash against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
Vidal has struggled for playing time this season and has made just five appearances, playing a total of 450 minutes across all competitions.
The Spanish right-back does have another three-years remaining on his contract and Galatasaray are not in a financial position to transfer Vidal on a permanent deal but they would be able to offer regular first-team football if he were to consider making the move.
Despite falling down the pecking order at Barca, head coach Luis Enrique revealed that he is happy with Vidal since joining the club last summer.
“Vidal, as well as Arda [Turan], has been a positive since his debut one year ago,” Enrique was quoted as saying by ESPN. “They’re both important players for the team.”
