West Ham United have joined Galatasaray in the race to sign Liverpool’s out-of-favour centre-back Mamadou Sakho, according to the Daily Star.
Sakho was a key member of Liverpool’s defensive line in the past however, he has been frozen out the squad by manager Jurgen Klopp following a dispute during pre-season training.
Per-the-source, Inter, AC Milan, Stoke and West Brom are also involved in the race to sign the 26-year-old.
Meanwhile, the French outlet L’Equipe have stated that Southampton are also interested in singing Sakho in the wake of Jose Fonte handing in a transfer request at the club.
A source close to the Istanbul giants recently revealed to Turkish-Football that Galatasaray are preparing a loan bid for Sakho. The Lions have been interested in Sakho since the summer transfer window and that they want the Senegal international on a temporary move.
The powerful defender has not been given a single minute of playing time this season and has been forced to train with the reserves.
