Manchester United’s pursuit of Benfica star defender Victor Lindelof is back on according to the Mirror.
Per the source, the Red Devils have struck a £38 million deal with Benfica for the Sweden international and will pay Vasteras 10 percent of the fee.
The report comes despite manager Jose Mourinho’s claim that he is ready to wait until the summer to land defensive reinforcement.
The Mirror goes onto state that United have already faxed an official offer to Benfica.
Meanwhile in other Man United transfer news, Netherlands international Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin have both been placed on the transfer list.
The Red Devils are vying for four trophies this season – the Premier League , EFL Cup, Europa League and FA Cup – and are keen on adding depth as a result.
Jose Mourinho’s side sit in sixth place in the Premier League with 39 points after 20 games and beat Reading FC 4-0 on Saturday 7 January in the FA Cup Third round tie.
