Bursaspor in talks to sign Fernandao on a permanent deal

Bursaspor have opened talks with the Brazilian club Atlético Paranaense to sign José Fernando Viana de Santana, simply known as, Fernandão on a permanent deal.

The Green Crocodiles President Recep Bölükbaşı spoke to Bursaspor TV about the strikers future at the club.

“We know other Turkish clubs are interested in Fernandao but he is very happy at Bursaspor,” Bölükbaşı told Bursaspor TV.

“We have held talks with both the player and his parent club. We want to keep hold of our Brazilian striker for next season.”

The 27-year-old striker now has 12 Süper Lig goals this season. Only Trabzonspor striker Oscar Cardozo has scored as many goals.

Galatasaray forward Burak Yılmaz and Akhisar striker Gekas both have 11 goals.

Beşiktaş striker Demba Ba trails with 10 league goals.

Fernandao joined Bursaspor on loan from Atlético-PR and has a total of 13 goals and one assist in all competitions for the Green Crocodiles this season.

Bursaspor have scored the most goals in the league this season – 36.
