There have however, been signs since the turn of the year that Bruma is growing unsettled at Galatasaray which culminated with an incident involving head coach Jan Olde Riekerink on Tuesday 25 January.

Bruma stormed off the pitch after being substituted off during the Turkish Cup clash against 24 Erzincan on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old headed for the tunnel without acknowledging the manager or the coaching staff.

Riekerink intervened by grabbing Bruma by the arm and preventing him from leaving.

The incident was brushed aside after the game and Bruma has underlined once again that he is committed to Galatasaray.

The former Sporting Lisbon winger has five goals and five assist in 17 league appearances for the Istanbul giants this season.

The Portuguese winger also averages 4.9 dribbles per-game on average which is the highest in the Super Lig and among the top five leagues in Europe.

Galatasaray are open to selling their star winger at the end of the season but are determined to keep him at the club over the winter transfer window.

Bruma’s agent has been locked in talks with Galatasaray over a contract extension which would see his salary double. The Lions want to include a release clause fee which matches there current €20 million valuation but the two parties are yet to strike a deal.

Galatasaray are currently 3rd in the Turkish league, five points behind leaders Besiktas.
