Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has struggled for form this season after a brilliant start to his career at the Premier League giants.
Can has come in for flak following a disappointing display against Hull City over the weekend.
The Reds ended up losing 2-0 against the relegation battlers Hull City at the KC stadium. Liverpool have not actually won a Premier League game in 2017.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has however, defended Can, claiming that he has had problems with his calf which have had an effect on his performances.
Klopp was quoted in the Mirror as saying: “He has this calf issue which we are still looking into and trying to find out why. Is it his back? Is it his ankle?
“It lets him stay on the pitch but it makes him struggle a little bit. We could have said ‘stay off for two or three weeks’, but we don’t have a lot of options.
“We’ve tried to work on this while he is playing. It would be nice if we have now found the exact reason and the solution. Everyone could see the difference when he’s able to play without issues.”
Despite Klopp’s comments, some Liverpool fans have started to lose faith in the central midfielder.
We took a look at how Liverpool fans have reacted to Can’s poor from on social media.
This tweeter called for Can to be banished to the Moon.
Dejan Lovren is the most brainless footballer on the planet, and Emre Can is the most eratic. Catapult them both to the moon

Can has not been at his best this season but this is a bit harsh… surely?
Who you’d rather play in midfield for Liverpool?

Jamie Carragher suggest the problem could be Can and Henderson not being able to play together?
Carragher: “Klopp has to make a change. Emre Can & Henderson cannot play together. Never ever play the two of them in midfield together.”

He does have the build of a Rugby player!
Emre Can would be great at rugby. Sidewards passes, long kicks into touch, running in a straight line until he’s tackled.

Thoughts?
I’m still struggling to understand in what world Emre Can deserves a start over Wijndum

Just a few weeks back Can could do no wrong… difficult to believe after going through all these tweets.
Emre Can is the epitome of average.

Is Can Liverpool worthy?
We all go on about Mignolet and granted that goal was his fault. But Emre Can is just not good enough to play for LFC. There. Said it. #YNWA
