Arsenal team news: German star ‘highly focused’ for Bayern Munich clash
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stated that Mesut Ozil is fully focused on tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Bayern host Arsenal at the Allianz Arena tonight, kick-off is at 19:45 (GMT).
The 28-year-old has been roundly criticised by both fans and pundits for his performances in recent weeks. Ozil has failed to register a goal or assist for the Gunners since December.
However, Wenger believes Ozil can deliver on the big stage. The French tactician did however accept that his side have been performing below par recently.
“It’s not the best moment to give you the team,” Wenger said during the pre-game match conferance.
“I will pick the team tomorrow morning. But we play in Germany and you will see that Ozil is highly focused to have a good performance tomorrow.”
