‘If we play well Arsenal won’t have chances’ – Polish star sends warning to Arsenal

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has issued a warning to Arsenal ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash.

Lewandowski stated that the Gunners will have no chance of victory if the Bundesliga champions play to their full potential.

The Polish international has been in prolific form this season for Bayern with 23 goals in 29 apperances so far.

Lewandowski also stated that Bayern are fully focused on tonight’s clash.

“The win in Ingolstadt was very important. Now we’re focused on the Champions League,” Lewandowski told Bayern Munich’s official website.

“Everyone’s waiting for this game. It will be a big challenge for us. I hope we can deliver a good performance and play really well here in Munich.

“Arsenal have very good footballers. They know what it means to play in the Champions League.

“We need to concentrate on ourselves. If we play our game then Arsenal probably won’t get many chances. But we must play well from back to front.”

Despite Bayern being seven points clear of second placed RB Leipzig, they have been blowing hot & cold this season under Carlo Ancelotti.

The Daily Mail state that the Bundesliga giants are not as potent under the Italian boss, as they were under Pep Guardiola.

Angelotti was appointed as manager of Bayern when Guardiola decided to join City last year. The Italian tactician is renowned for his ability to win the UEFA Champions League. Ancelotti has won three Champions League titles during his managerial career.

Bayern host Arsenal at the Allianz Arena tonight, kick-off is at 19:45 (GMT).
