Bayer Leverkusen take on Atletico Madrid in in the first-leg Champions League Last 16 clash at the BayArena on Tuesday 21 February.
Bayer will be without star attacking midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu who is out suspended for four months.
Calhanoglu will not feature again until next season following a FIFA playing ban for an incident involving Trabzonspor when he was aged 17.
Fellow Turkish international Omer Toprak will however, start in defence for Bayer but fellow first-choice centre-back Jonathan Tar is out.
Austria international of Turkish origin Ramazan Ozcan will be on the bench for Bayer as the Bundesliga outfit’s second choice goalkeeper.
Diego Simeone has a great record in the Champions League knock-out stages with Atleti but the same cannot be said for Bayer.
The German side have lost eight of their last nine Champions League knockout games but their sole victory in that run came against Atletico Madrid (1-0), in 2015.
