Bülent Yıldırım to officiate Fenerbahce v Trabzonspor

Fenerbahce’s clash against their rivals Trabzonspor this weekend in the Turkish Super League will be officiated by Bülent Yıldırım.

Yıldırım will be familiar with Fenerbahce’s left wingback Caner Erkin after showing him a yellow card in seven successive games. The 42-year-old referee last showed Erkin a yellow card when Fenerbahce hosted Mersin Idmanyurdu earlier on in the season.

Fenerbahce has played 40 games officiated by Yıldırım, winning 26, losing 11 and drawing three times. The Yellow canaries have won 15 of the 21 games officiated by Yildirim at the Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium.

Trabzonspor have played 28 games officiated by Bulent Yildirim. The Black Sea Stom have won 11, lost 12 and drawn five on these games.  Trabzonspor have won eight, lost four and drawn four  games officiated by Yildirim while playing away from home.

Fenerbahce have won their last seven games in the Turkish Super League and are in first place with 42 points in 18 games.

The Yellow Canaries are unbeaten at home in the league since last season.

Trabzonspor sit in sixth place, 13 points behind the league leaders on 29 points.

The Istanbul Giants host Trabzonspor at the Suku Saracoglu stadium on Saturday at 17:00 (GMT).
