Man City wonder-kid Enes Unal considers staying in Holland
Manchester City wonder-kid Enes Unal has revealed that he has considered staying at FC Twente for another season.
The Turkish international striker is currently on loan at the Eredivisie outfit and has been in impressive form scoring 11 goals and providing 3 assists in all competitions this season.
Unal has settled in well to the Dutch top-tier and revealed that he would consider staying on for another season.
“Staying is certainly an option, my girlfriend likes it here also, we have many friends in Twente and the atmosphere in the stadium is great,” he told TC Tubantia.
Unal did however, underlined that ultimately the decision on his future will be up to City.
“Manchester City will have a 60-70% influence on where I’m going to play next season,” he added.
The 20-year-old striker is unlikely to be able to play in England next season due to the FA’s work visa requirements for no EU zone players.
Unal could however, be granted a special exemption by the FA which are awarded for players of an exceptional quality.
City boss Pep Guardiola could appeal for Unal to be given an exemption to play Premier League football if he wants the young striker in his side next season.
Unal is one of the most highly rated youngsters in Turkish football. In 2013, aged 16, the striker became the youngest player to score in the Turkish league when he netted against Galatasaray.
