Robin van Persie joins in on Manchester United celebrations
Fenerbahce striker Robin van Persie joined in on Manchester United’s EFL Cup celebrations via social media.
The Netherland international left United at the start of the season without a proper send off from the fans or the club. The 33-year-old’s departure was not even acknowledged on the Red Devils social media pages.
However, Van Persie still has strong ties with several United stars and expressed his delight following Man United’s 3-2 win over Southampton in the League Cup final by liking a string of his former teammates photos.
Van Persie made the move to Manchester United from Arsenal back in 2012 and won the Premier League title in his first season.
The experienced striker left United after falling out of favour with Louis van Gaal and opted to join Fenerbahce.
Van Persie has two assists and ten goals in 24 apperances for the Yellow Canaries so far this season.
Fenerbahce sit in forth place in the Turkish Super Lig, 12 points behind league leaders Besiktas.
