Liverpool beat Burnley 2-1 at Anfield to win their second Premier League game in a row following last weeks victory over Arsenal.

The Reds came from behind to beat Burnley and move five points clear of 5th placed Arsenal.

The Gunners do however, have two games in hand and would overtake 4th placed Liverpool if they win both matches.

Emre Can responded to his critics with a fine display against Burnley, scoring the winning goal – the first time he has found the back of the net in 2017.

Sky Sports commentator and football pundit Gary Neville was full of praise for Can during the course of the game.

Neville was not only impressed with Can’s goal but also his defensive work: “He puts himself forward Emre Can, he picks up the biggest man on set pieces, he heads the ball clear, he takes on responsibility.”
