Revealed: Emre Can equals £89m Man United star Paul Pogba goal record following Liverpool victory
Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can has incredibly matched Manchester United’s record signing Paul Pogba’s goalscoring record this season.
The 23-year-old midfielder scored his fourth goal of the season during the Reds 2-1 victory over Burnley FC. Can drilled the ball into the bottom corner from outside the area to earn Liverpool all three points.
The Germany international of Turkish decent has now matched Man United midfielder Paul Pogba’s goal tally.
The feat is especially impressive seeing that Can has played just 22 Premier League games while Pogba has made 25 appearances in England’s top flight. Furthermore, Can has played just 1468 minutes of league football in comparison to Pogba’s 2250 minutes.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man has a minutes to goal ratio of 367 minutes while Pogba’s is 563.
The comparison is made even more compelling by the fact Manchester United shelled out £89 million for Pogba (BBC) while Can cost Liverpool just £10 million (BBC).
