Liverpool transfer news: Lazio join race for in-demand Brazil international

Serie A giants Lazio are the latest side to be linked with a move for Besiktas’ in-form star Talisca.

According to the Portuguese outlet A Bola, Lazio are lining up a Talisca as a replacement for Keita Balde. The Ivory Coast international is being targeted by Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Turkish-Football recently revealed that Liverpool are monitoring the progress of the 23-year-old.

Talisca recently came close to a move to Liverpool however the transfer broke down after the Brazilian failed to obtain a work permit to play in the Premier League (O Jogo).

Meanwhile, Besiktas General Manager Ahmet Urkmezgil has signalled that the Black Eagles are interested in matching Talisca’s €25 million release clause set by Benfica.

“Talisca has been in great form and the fans love him, we are working towards signing him on a permanent deal,” Urkmezgil was quoted by Turkish-Football as saying.

The 23-year-old  already has nine goals and three assists in all competitions for Besiktas. The Brazilian star has netted seven times and provided two assists in 12 league games.
