£20m Man City star reacts to Champions League defeat
Germany international midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has reacted to Man City’s UEFA Champions League exit.
The Citizens suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of Monaco last night. Pep Guardiola’s side were eliminated from the competition on away goals.
Gundogan missed yesterday’s encounter due to a knee injury and is expected to be ruled out for the rest of the season.
The Germany international provided several tweets during the game including this one at half time.
Oh man!? Let's go boys! Still enough time to make this happen! ??? #mcfc

Gundogan proceeded to tweet his disappointment at the end of the game.
Hard night and a tough loss. It might take a while to accept this, but we'll learn from it and come back better next year! ? #mcfc

Gundogan joined Man City from the Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund for £20m (BBC) at the beginning of the season.
City boss Pep Guardiola ended up losing his 100th European game as a manager in the process.
Guardiola will now have to switch his attention back onto the Premier League.
The Citizens host Liverpool at the Etihad stadium this weekend as they continue efforts to secure a top-four finish.
City are currently a full ten points behind leaders Chelsea who sit in pole position with 66 points.
